Meet Hannah

“In 2025, women represent only 3% of producers and 12% of songwriters globally. Now is the time to change these figures. I’ll do all I can to mentor other women musicians and continue to share my most honest work. Success comes from building community and access,
not from fame.”

Hannah Baiardi is an Ann Arbor, Michigan–based songwriter, producer, pianist, DJ, author and music educator whose work lives at the intersection of contemporary soul, atmosphere and emotional storytelling. Her music has been described as ethereal, haunting and deeply soulful, drawing from contemporary jazz, neo-soul, R&B, New Age and world music influences.

Originally trained as a jazz pianist at The University of Michigan, Hannah’s artistic voice evolved through a fascination with texture, mood and the emotional undercurrents of sound. Whether producing records, performing at the piano or curating DJ sets, her work centers on creating immersive, emotionally resonant experiences.

Alongside her recording projects, Hannah is an active educator and creative mentor, working closely with students in piano, songwriting and musical expression. She maintains a regular column on Substack called The Listening Room, a community that houses all her creative offerings including her essays, personal reflections, music, meditations and audio offerings.

Hannah believes artists are best served by building “in-house,” cultivating a space where their most dedicated supporters engage with the work directly — long before streaming platforms.

Hannah’s jazz-soul fusion album Straight from the Soul charted at #34 on the NACC Top Jazz Recordings of 2021 and was named the #11 Top Jazz Album of the Year by RMR. In 2024, she released Phoenix, her first fully self-produced album — an atmospheric and emotionally raw exploration of heartbreak, acceptance and personal transformation.

Deeply influenced by the psychological and energetic dimensions of music, Hannah views sound as both an artistic and experiential medium. Her work reflects an ongoing commitment to authenticity, emotional honesty and creative independence.
